The Legacy at Millennium Park integrates modern architecture into landmarked surroundings adjacent to an iconic civic amenity: the new Millennium Park. The result is an award-winning residential high-rise that is one of the 50 tallest buildings in North America and a stunning addition to the Chicago skyline.
The development team of Mesa Development LLC and Walsh Investors acquired the land for the Legacy at Millennium Park from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Working with the school and the neighboring University Club of Chicago, the developers negotiated various easements and air rights, which protect views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. The project also involved the preservation of three historic building facades along Chicago’s landmarked Jewelers Row on Wabash Avenue.
Taking advantage of the one-of-a-kind location, architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz designed a contemporary building offering luxury condominiums in Chicago with stunning views of the lake and park from almost every floor plan.
The Legacy has won numerous awards for its architecture and development program and today is considered the premier luxury address in the Millennium Park neighborhood.
